Assemble Insert

I hadn't been watching much anime lately, so this weekend I watched three different shows. The standout was Assemble Insert, a short, two-episode video series from the late '80s, released domestically by The Right Stuf. I got it on sale for $4, so I figured that even if it stunk I wasn't gonna be out much money. It turns out that the show is totally hilarious; I don't know when I have laughed so hard. The entire show is a spoof of '70s and '80s anime and sentai (think Power Rangers) shows, and it is funnier than it has any right to be. If you don't like '80s anime, you probably wouldn't get it, but it you do like '80s anime you have to watch this show. A complete laugh riot.
